INSCX™ exchange was founded in 2009 by way of collaboration between experts in nanoscience and the securities & commodity industry.
Joining the NanoCentral® Alliance of Specialist Providers in nanoscience in 2010 and featuring at the 2010 and 2011 Nanomaterials series of conferences, INSCX has progressed from concept in 2009 to represent the global Exchange for speciality materials.
INSCX exchange were original members of the UK DEFRA Nanomaterials Stakeholder Forum. In 2010, the Exchange was commissioned by Lloyds of London in 2010 to address the insurability of nanomaterials. Today, INSCX is the driving focus for expanding industrial trade in ENMs.
INSCX commissioned by Lloyds of London to provide a template for insurers to approach risk mitigation in ENMs. Commenced listing of Base Oils and Titanium Dioxide. Exchange featured at Nanomaterials 2010/2011 conferences.
Commenced listing of UK Polymers for physical delivery on a Spot and Forward price basis. Enables Fixed Term pricing. ENMs track/trace trade reporting system, DAS (Downstream Audit Sequencing) launched for global effect.
INSCX augments its price/trade platform TORS® launching Europe’s first physical polymer price/trade mechanism based on aggregate real-time pricing across polymer chemical families and EMEA traded Base oils. Access to price/trade data is open by subscription to producers, converters, distributors and research houses.
Given synergies between ENMs and traditional materials such as Polymers, Base Oils and Pigments, INSCX commenced listing of these more traditional categories of materials in 2012.
Since 2012, INSCX has worked to develop efficient price discovery and hedging capability in these more traditional commodity categories. 2014 seen the Exchange offer the first “true” hedging tool in the form of Fixed Term pricing. Specific to polymers, INSCX also provides EU polymer and EMEA Base Oil producers/traders and converters Europe’s first auditable price/trade mechanism for these commodity sectors.
Registered and Approved users of the Exchange can now access to obtain real-time price/trade data on Polymers, Base Oils, Titanium Dioxide, and of course ENMs. These developments represent the first Exchange-led initiative to establish real-time transparency and hedging ability in physical delivery trade in these commodity categories.
INSCX exchange founded as a concept. Exchange trade platform TORS® goes live in 2010 specific to engineered nanomaterials. Exchange publishes overview of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology “Nanotechnology at a Crossroads.”
